During my first office visit with Dr. Saffer in June 2011, through efficient analysis diagnosed completely my foot problem (infection of right foot), had me admitted to East Cooper Medical Center and performed surgery within 24 hours. I was released from the hospital and sent home to recover. He saved my right foot, leg, and life literally. Dr. Saffer and staff are clearly thorough and skilled while providing medical treatment. Dr. Saffer always asks “How are you doing.” He ensures I know when my next treatment is scheduled and provides prescriptions for antibiotic gel and other medial equipment as needed. I can get appointment that fit in my schedule. What I really like is that I am seen pretty close to my scheduled time. I had surgery for arthritis great toes December 2013. Dr. Saffer did x-rays and examined my foot and determined I had artthritis of both great toe joints. I am very active in both golf, exercise, and bowling. Dr. Saffer explained surgical options and elected to clean out both great toe joints. Dr. Saffer called me at home to check on me (twice). Dr. Saffer followed me closely and reeled me in to make sure my feet were healing. My feet feel great and I am back to bowling, golf, and exercise. I like getting x-rays right in the office. Dr. Saffer shows you the x-ray and explains what he sees. When I call the office with a question Sally returns the call quckly! After 7 months of trying to heel plantar fasciitis on my own I decided to get help from Dr. Brown. After explaining to me what caused plantar fasciitis and showing me daily moves that aggravate it I realized I should of come to see him the first month! In a couple of months I was running again! I am training for a 1/2 marathon now and when my foot "warns' me it needs a rest, I listen and remember the advise given to me by Dr. Brown. The entire staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I wanted to say thank you to Dr. Saffer. I could not walk without painon my first visit on Nov. 6th, 2014 and this totally derailed my marathon training. I had my 2nd visit on Nov. 20th and was able to complete my training. I finished the Kiawah Island Marathon (my first Marathon) on Dec. 13th under 4 hours. Reason for visit: Chronic plantar fasciitis. I am a professional baskeball instructor so my feet are extremely important. Dr. Saffer did a thorough evaluation and came up with a plan of action. Ultimately surgery was required, but we exhausted all other options first. Right after surgery Dr. Saffer called to check-in on me....After business hours from his house. The professionalism between Dr. Saffer, his assistants, is 2nd to none. The main difference is the genuine concern for their patients. The office, Sally (the receptionist) and Courtney (the nurse) are really great gals. Sally is always professional and always tries to find an appt. time that works for me. Courtney is friendly, professional, and does her job with such cheerfulness, you are immediately put at ease. Dr. Saffer is very calm and always explains the entire procedure so that there are no suprises. He has a light touch with the anesthetic and always monitors your response to treatment. He explained the treatment, recovery, and any problems that could arise before he started. Also, the office is VERY CLEAN!
